Arranged employment (10) and adaptability (max 10)

A valid job offer of at least one year in a TEER 0–3 occupation is worth 10. Adaptability adds up to 10 for things like a spouse with CLB 4, two years of study in Canada, a year of skilled work in Canada (10 on its own), a job offer, or a relative in Canada.

From November 3, 2026, a job offer used for FSW eligibility no longer needs an LMIA if you meet the temporary public policy, and it does not have to be in a high-wage occupation. CRS job offer points are a separate test. See Express Entry changes 2026.

FAQ

Is 67 points the same as a CRS score?

No. The 67-point grid only decides whether you are eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program. Once you are in the pool you are ranked by your CRS score out of 1,200.

Do I need an ECA for FSW?

Yes, if your education is from outside Canada. You need an educational credential assessment from a designated organization, such as WES or IQAS, to claim points for a foreign credential. Canadian credentials do not need one.

What is the minimum language score for FSW?

CLB 7 in all four abilities (speaking, listening, reading, writing) of your first official language.

Does Canadian work experience count for FSW?

Yes. Any skilled work in the last 10 years counts toward the work experience factor, and a year of skilled work in Canada also gives 10 adaptability points.
